The route features the most stunning ocean views on one side and the gorgeous Santa Monica mountains on the other. You’ll see why everyone, from the rich and famous to the surfers and dolphins, live here.
100% of the course runs along the Pacific Coast Highway; starting and ending at the iconic Zuma Beach, the perfect beachside spot for family and friends to gather and cheer runners across the finish line.
While the 5K is a flat loop around Zuma Beach, the Half Marathon offers some challenging hills. Experience the most scenic race route on the West Coast of America.

Run Malibu takes place on the weekend of November 5th & 6th, 2022. With average temperatures ranging from 56°F (11.6°C) to 72.86°F (22.7°C), this is the perfect race for anyone who enjoys blue skies and sunny beaches. Combined with low humidity, and little chance of rain, the weather alone makes this a destination race; the perfect “runcation” to add to your 2022 bucket list and the optimal conditions to set your Personal Best (PB).
3. Multiple Distances, A COMBO CHALLENGE and 2 Days OF Fun 🏁🏅 🎉
Since 2021, we've become a two-day event. The 5K Run/Walk and 1/2K Kids’ Fun Run will take place on Saturday, November 5th, while the Half Marathon will start the following day, Sunday, November 6th.
To celebrate the two-day event, we’ve introduced the Combo Challenge — Run 2 Races = Get 3 Medals!🏅🏅🏅
So, if you complete the 5K and the Half Marathon you will bring home extra bling.

To make it even more fun and family-friendly, we’ve also added a 1/2K Kids Fun Run for kids ages 4 to 10 taking place Saturday November 5th. All participants are given a race shirt and awarded a medal at the finish!
This is perfect for families who share a passion for being active. Sorry, grownups — this is strictly a kids-only race, but come and cheer at the start and the finish and run alongside for part of it.
