the kids fun run

For kids ages 4-10, the Malibu 1/2 Kilometer beach trot it's a fun celebration of youth fitness that takes place Saturday afternoon at the Malibu Beach Expo! The entry fee is $30 and all racers are awarded a medal at the finish!


This Fun Run is perfect for families who share a passion for the outdoors and the beach. This is a kids-only race.

Closer to race day we will publish the Athlete's Information Package. Please make sure to review all information in the packet well before race day to prepare for your race weekend.  

Start Time

Saturday, November 13th, 2021:

3:15 pm – Take your place at the start line

The Start Line is right on the sand by the Health and Fitness Expo locatedat Zuma Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, 30050 W. Pacific Coast Hwy.

More than 1500 parking spaces are available at the Zuma Beach Parking in a chain of 12 parking lots along the beachfront. Access to all the parking lots is via the entrance gates off Pacific Coast Highway at the south end of the beach. There is limited free parking located on Hwy 1, just outside the parking area. Parking at Zuma is $5 for all-day parking. Display your parking ticket on your vehicle dashboard at all times to avoid a $63 parking citation.

Age Requirement

Recommended for children between 4-10 years old.

Cancellation Policy

All entry fees are non-refundable. This policy applies to all entrants and is in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected family/business emergency, have a medical emergency, etc. If the course has to be changed or the race cancelled due to an act of nature, there are no refunds or rollovers. There are NO exceptions. If the event is cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, you will be given the option to switch to a virtual race or a 100% deferment credit to be applied to a future event.

Deferred Entry

If you deferred your entry, please keep an eye out for an email from us the last week of February with instructions on how to redeem your deferred entry or roll it over to 2022. Bib & Shirt pick-up

The Kids' 1/2 K Fun Run bib & shirt pick-up will take place Saturday, November 13th, 2021 between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.
