Congratulations on starting a Fundraiser and thank you for deciding to support our charity partner, the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu. Here's some helpful information for you.

Half Marathon Course MapRun along the stunning Malibu coastline, starting, and finishing at the world-famous Zuma Beach. The course is USATF-measured and offers a beautiful out-and-back route. With a total elevation ascension of 378 feet, it's perfect for beating your personal record or simply enjoying the scenery.

Half Marathon Start TimeSunday, November 5th, 2023: 6:30 am – Take your place in the start line chute 7:00 am – Half Marathon

Start/Finish Line LocationThe Start / Finish Line is located at Zuma Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, 30050 W. Pacific Coast Hwy. Malibu, CA (map & directions).

Bib and Packet Pick-upFriday, November 3rd 3:00pm – 6:00pm Zuma Beach – 30050 W Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265 (map & directions) Saturday, November 4th 9:30am – 5:00pm** Zuma Beach – 30050 W Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265 (map & directions) *all half marathon participants are required to pick-up their race packet during the Race Expo in the hours listed below. There is no race day packet pick-up. If you are unable to attend the Race Expo, you may purchase the packet mailing option (must be purchased by October 15th) or delegate someone to pick up your bib on your behalf. **traffic for the 5K race will affect parking closest to the Expo until approximately 10:30am. If you come before 10:30am, please plan accordingly. There is absolutely NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP. If you can't come to the packet pick-up, you can either purchase the bib mailing option or delegate someone to pick it up on your behalf.

Course Time LimitThe half marathon has a course time limit of 4 hours. Participants will need to maintain a pace of 18:00 minute-per-mile to complete the race. Participants unable to maintain the required pace can continue to complete the race but will be asked to remain out of previously closed traffic lanes and obey regular traffic laws. Pacific Coast Highway will be reopened to vehicle traffic on a “rolling basis” determined by the 18:00 minute-per-mile pace. Course support including aid stations, timing mats, and post-race refreshments will only be available to those that maintain the required pace. The Finish Line will remain open until 12:00pm.

Gear CheckGear Check will be available for all half marathon participants. Gear check will be located in the parking lot adjacent to the start/finish line toward the back of the Expo. The gear check tent will stay in the same location throughout the duration of the race. This event is committed to preserving Malibu’s natural environment and, in order to comply with the recent single-use plastic ban by the City, the race will not provide plastic bags for Gear check. Please plan to use the tote bag provided with your race packet or bring your own. Participants can detach the gear check tag from their race bib and attach it to their tote bag using the provided cable ties or use one of the provided tags and write their bib number before attaching to their gear check bag. Gear Check will open to drop off bags at 5:00am and must be picked up no later than 12:00pm. Please do not check valuables. Gear is checked at your own risk. The race is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged bags.

Aid Stations⛑️ Aid stations will be located at the following locations (all will provide water): Miles 1.5, 3, 4/12, 5/11, 6/10, 7/9 and 8 💦 Electrolyte will be provided at the stations at Miles 3, 5/11, 6/10, and 7/9 ⚡️ An energy gel will be provided at mile 8, just after the turnaround point 🚻 Restrooms will be located at the stations at Miles 1, 4/12, 5/11, 6/10, 7/9 and 8 Note: For safety reasons due to the nature of the PCH, all aid stations are located ocean-side. Outbound runners will have to cross inbound runners’ traffic to reach the aid station. Outbound runners are asked to yield to inbound runners when possible. This affects the stations at Miles 4/12, 5/11, 6/10, and 7/9.

AwardsThe top 3 male, female, and non-binary finishers in the half marathon will receive an overall award. The top 3 male, female, and non-binary finishers in each age group in the half marathon will receive an award. Please see the age groups below: 19 & Under, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80+

Cancellation PolicyAll entry fees are non-refundable. This policy applies to all registrants whether you are injured, have an unexpected family/business emergency, have a medical emergency, or anything else. Race entry fees and ancillary purchases are non-refundable under any and all circumstances including the cancellation of the Event, a rescheduling of the Event to a different date, or the Event conducted at a shorter distance or as a virtual event. There are NO exceptions.

DEFERRED ENTRIESThe deadline to claim your 2022 deferred entry is September 1st, 2023. If you haven't claimed your entry by the dealine, your entry is considered lost.

Can I Push my Child in a Jog Stroller?Strollers are allowed on the Half Marathon course ONLY. For the safety of everyone, we do kindly ask for all participants with strollers / joggers to place themselves at the end of the corral start.

Is There An Age Restriction?All participants must be at least 12 years old on race day. No exceptions.
