When you register for the race with a Charity ticket or if you start fundraising campaign you can earn benefits on race day, including access to the Charity/VIP Lounge and even get the cost of your ticket refunded.

how do I join?

OPTION 1:​

purchase CHARITY TICKET

When you buy a charity ticket you make a direct $75 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu AND you automatically earn all of the program benefits. That's it, no need to fundraise unless you want to. 

OPTION 2:

start a FUNDRAISer

If you decide to fundraise for the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu or Girls Club of Malibu and Girls on the Run Los Angeles, you pay a regular priced ticket and earn benefits when you reach the $500 fundraising milestones... and even get the cost of your ticket refunded!

Congratulations on starting a Fundraiser and thank you for deciding to support our charity partner, the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu. Here's some helpful information for you. 

FUNDRAISING MILESTONE


When you reach the $500 and up fundraising milestone you become a Charity Runner (2 beer tickets, Lounge access etc.) and run for FREE (you'll automatically be refunded the cost of your race entry).

Can I fundraise for a Charity of my choice?


You are welcome to fundraise for any other charity of your choice thru an alternative platform. However, you can set-up a fundraiser during registration, or after registering thru our registration platform (RunSignUp.com), and start earning the program's benefits only if you fundraise for our official charity partners, the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu or Girls Club of Malibu and Girls on the Run Los Angeles.




How can I get the cost of my entry refunded (and run for free)?


The cost of your entry is automatically refunded if you raise $500 or more for our official charity partners, the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu or Girls Club of Malibu and Girls on the Run Los Angeles.




If I have purchased a Charity Ticket, do I need to Fundraise?


When you buy a charity ticket you make a direct $75 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu AND you automatically earn all of the program benefits (mentioned above). That's it, no need to fundraise unless you want to.




FUNDRAISING Deadline


You must reach the milestone bu October 31st, 2021 in order to qualify.




HOW TO RAISE $250 IN 7 DAYS


  • DAY 1: Donate $25 to your own page (TOT $25)
  • DAY 2: Ask your girlfriend or boyfriend or wife or husband for $25 (TOT $50)
  • DAY 3: Ask your nicest brother or sister for $25 (TOT $75)
  • DAY 4: Ask 6 friends for $25 each (TOT $225)
  • DAY 5: Ask 5 relatives for $20 (TOT $325)
  • DAY 6: Ask 11 acquaintances for $15 (TOT $490)
  • DAY 7: Ask both of your neighbors for $5 (TOT $500) - You're running for free!
